Global Indian Foundation is helmed by distinguished personalities and leaders from diverse fields. The Foundation draws its vision and guidance from the Board, which strengthens its initiatives towards the mission of providing value-based education.
Chandrakant Gulabrao Borde is among the stalwarts of 20th century Indian Test cricket. An all-rounder, Mr Borde had a promising cricketing career in the Indian team from 1958 to 1970, post which he became the Chairman of the National Selection Committee. He also served as the Manager of the Indian Cricket Team following 2007 World Cup.
Mr Borde has been honoured with Padma Shri in 1969, Arjuna Award in 1966, as well as Padma Bhushan – one of India's highest civilian awards – in 2002. Under his mentorship, the Chandu Borde Global Cricket Academy has been launched at Global Indian International School's campuses in India.
Mr Atul Temurnikar is the Chairman and Co-Founder of the Singapore-based Global Indian Foundation, which has pioneered value-based and cultural education in South East Asia.
Mr Temurnikar continues as Director of several IT companies in Singapore and India, and has served IBM Singapore as Country Manager.
Mr Maneesh Tripathi has more than 22 years of work experience and has worked in three continents across this tenure. Spanning a career with IBM of over a decade in Singapore and Asia Pacific, he has held various prestigious positions, the last being the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a US$ 100 million IBM acquisition – Internet Security System for Asia Pacific, managing 17 countries.
Prior to IBM, Mr Tripathi has worked with MNCs like Philips and Wipro in India, and was the Founding Country Manager/CEO of Thakral Systems (TCPL) in India. He has also served in the Middle East with ISI Ltd.
Mr Kaustubh Bodhankar was Business Head, Indonesia Operations for Thermax Ltd. He brings with him more than ten years of management experience in manufacturing and services sector.
Mr Bodhankar holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur and a magna-cum-laude Masters in Business Management diploma from the Asian Institute of Management.
Mr Kamal Gupta is a business leader with significant experience in general, financial and commercial management with major FMCG multinationals, including Gillette Company USA, Proctor & Gamble, and Fonterra NZ amongst others. His forte lies in leading strategy development, change management, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, cash generation and cost reduction.
Mr Gupta holds a strong track record in driving growth, developing investor relations, managing complex joint ventures and internal controls, and has worked in diverse cultural environments from USA and UK to Asia and Middle East.
Mr Subodh Gore is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary with more than 25 years of experience. Currently, he is the Managing Director (India) at Hoerbiger. Previously, he was the Head of Finance – India, Regional Controller for Asia Pacific in Singapore and Head of Finance (Worldwide) at Hoerbiger.
He brings with him rich experience in Finance, Controlling and Mergers & Acquisition. Mr Gore has been associated with the Global Indian Foundation since its establishment in 2002 as a Founding Trustee.
Mr Sudan Wargantiwar has over 25 years of diversified experience in Engineering Consultancy, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sector. He has worked for multinational Oil & Gas consultants and top energy companies in India as well in Singapore.
Mr Wargantiwar holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India and MBA from Southern Illinois University USA.
